Celebrate Autumn with Audubon! Birdfeeding 101: Starting a Feeding Station. October 28, 2017; 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Are you fascinated by your feathered backyard visitors? Come to Audubon and learn how to start feeding and attracting birds. Types of feeders, seed and feeder placement will be discussed as well as tips and tricks for attracting the critters you want and deterring those you don’t. Factors that attract birds such as water and plantings will also be reviewed. Powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge, 12 Sanderson Road, Smithfield, RI; Program Fee: $10/member; $14/non-member. The award-winning documentary, “Women of 1915,” will make its Rhode Island premiere on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 5:30 pm at Rhode Island College’s newly renovated and beautiful Gaige Auditorium. This auspicious event is presented by the Armenian Relief Society’s Providence Ani and Arax Chapters, along with the Rhode Island Hamazkayin Educational and Cultural Society. The filmmaker, Bared Maronian, will be in attendance for the premiere and will be available for questions following the screening. Admission is $20.00 per person and includes refreshments.
Attention Thrill Seekers! Seven Cedars Farm Haunted Hayride is returning for its fourth season. The trail is a mile long through winding woods. With new trails, new sites and new surprises the ride is 40 minutes long. We’re open Fridays and Saturdays in October from 7:00pm-10:00pm and Sundays from 7:00pm-9:00pm. $15 per adult and $10 for 13 and under. Hope to scare you there!
